Life is always what you want to be. At least, this is the general message everyone wants to be true. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The truth is, the only places you get to have a life you really want is in games. Games like Star Wars Galaxies.

Star Wars Galaxies (SWG) is another MMORPG that I have had the honor of playing around with. The sad aura revolving around SWG is a negative beast of arrogance. The game was introduced into the buyers market approximately two to three months ago, and has had people bitch about it ever since. The problem with this is, it is not constructive criticism. These people pointing out the little things they do not like in the game are merely assholes who are too self-absorbed to think about the larger picture.

In an article in the October 2003 issue of Computer Games, Cindy Yans shows how much of a fucktard she is by exclaiming, “…it’s often an exercise in the mundane. It’s as if the developers were trying to see if they could integrate every single imaginable feature into one game…” referring to “…feature-crammed interface; huge set and subsets of world dynamics; a real-world economy; a supply and demand society; and a ton of commodities…”, or in other words, everything which makes this game revolutionary.

The game, first, has only been in the works for a few months. So numerous bugs are of course expected, and they take time to fix, which they have fixed many. They need to learn patience, since their idiocy is usually the cause of the glitches. The make up Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) was going for was a world completely run by the players. No GM’s telling you what is going on, and holding your hand in Events. On numerous servers, the players have had concerts, and talents show, sales and contests run by themselves. On the server I play on (Gorath) I know of a Player Association (PA) which is all Entertainers who sell their abilities to raise the morale and lower battle fatigue of other players, while sounding really good to boot. Even the war aspect of the game is fabulous.

As you can imagine, the world is made of three factions. Imperial, Rebels, and those who remain Neutral. The Imperials and the Rebels can engage in PvP (Player vs. Player), killing each other in large scale battles while being overt, or just hunting stray or specific people of the other faction. Or they can remain covert, and stick with PvE (player vs. Environment) with other covert members of either faction, and the neutral players. And for those self-absorbed penises [ed. peni?] who think the game should be some fast paced adventure where they save the universe from the big bad boogie man like the movies, they do have a monthly story, which depending on the numbers of each faction who complete it, does make a difference in game play. These are the things which make the game great.

I have come to realize, SWG is a lot more like LARP, and DAoC and EQ are more like sit down. In LARP, the game and what is going on is mostly based on the minds and the wills of the players. If they do nothing, nothing happens, then they bitch about it and cry. And sit down, with the GM telling you where you can go, and what you are able to do. I would rather LARP, and you whiny, filthy prostitutes who need everything handed to you on a plate of golden shit, can stick with your sit down MMORPG’s.
